Potential Eventer/all rounder
Smartie is a stunning 16hh , 8yr old Bay gelding. He is by Craigsteel out of Massini’s Treasure.
Smartie enjoyed a very successful career in the show ring, he was always in the ribbons. He won the Small Riding Horse class two years in a row at Tattersalls and was Champion in 2014 and Reserve Champion in 2015. He was also 3rd in the Small Hunter class in the RDS Dublin Horse Show 2015.
Smartie has hunted on occasion with the East Wicklow Harriers proving to be brave but mannerly across the country.
He started showjumping in early July, comfortably jumping 1m tracks showing loads of scope to jump bigger.
His flat work is super with 3 lovely paces and is ridden in a snaffle bridle with a lovely soft mouth.
Smartie is very safe on the roads and will hack out alone or with company.
I believe that with more showjumping experience over the winter, Smartie will make an amazing Eventer for 2017.
Smartie is an absolute gentleman in every way who loves attention and affection, anyone who meets him will fall in love with him.
