Sad sale of yard favourite due to work commitments. Pepper is a gorgeous, quality horse. We’ve had him since 4yo and has been produced slowly by 2 young girls. He’s the perfect all-rounder, has won in the show ring (riding horse), champion WH, evented successfully to EI110 (end of 2020), SJ 1.15 and was aiming for his first SJ 1.20cm before lockdown cut our season short. He also won his two classes on his first and only dressage Ireland outing.
Pepper has the potential to excel in any discipline. He has the moment for pure dressage or showing- judges have always remarked on how nice he is to ride. He’s also been very competitive in intermediate WH classes. He has a good gallop despite his size and with 75% TB blood, he is bred for eventing, with the jump for clear rounds at 1.20cm.
Pepper is a fab little horse with a big personality that keeps everyone laughing. He is excellent to clip, load, shoe, etc. He has good legs and feet (clean xrays taken in the last few moths) and has never been lame since we’ve had him. He is exceptionally easy to keep, happily living out with a broodmare and whatever other horses join them. He hacks out alone or in company. He would be ideal for a competitive youngster moving up from ponies or a mother-daughter share. He is not a beginners ride as he is a forward thinking horse and can be a bit sensitive. In the right home he is sure to bring lots of joy and no doubt, rosettes. 5* home is essential as he is a much loved member of our family.
